… the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of…

1 Peter 13-16
13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

It caught my eyes.

key verse in 13b - “…rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;…”

It dawn on me, how much we can be changed into God’s likeness, it is how much revelation of Christ’s love revealed to me.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

How much we know that we are love by God Himself- we loved.
How much we know that we are forgiven by God Himself- we forgave.
We literally live/walk out a changed person… (for in Christ we are a new creation)

1 Corinthians 1:30-31
30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—
31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

We are in Christ, and Jesus becomes our Wisdom, Jesus becomes our Righteousness, Jesus becomes our SANCTIFICATION, Jesus, become our Redemption.

Back to 1 Perter 1:13b, more grace will come into our lives as we receive more revelation of Christ’s love to us.

To KNOW about it- it is at our brain level;

When that KNOWING DROPPED INTO OUR HEARTS, liken a light bulb switched on in the room- We suddenly see and understood a portion of Jesus’ beauty for our application or admiration- that is REVELATION.

God calling us being holy.. - it is not only a behavior modification, but it is
really about our heart transformation- a heart that is totally won by Him, a heart that is totally belongs to Him, a heart set apart and set aside for Him and Him only - for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14b)

44 For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy.
