It took me about 38 years to realise my ability in expressing my thoughts confidently, thanks to Facebook.

I’ve discovered in my teens, with the limited grammer free errors, I could express better than vocalising my thoughts and feelings, yet , my weak learning subject in English and lack of confidence during school days has shafted this expression channel way back in my man-brain compartment.

However, it would surface once a while when opportunities were given .

We maybe born naked but not without nothing, God has placed talents, giftings, abilities and calling in life into every newborn who will eventually manifest. Realising & developing in various stages or events in life, some are graced more than usual, hence the term - multi-talented.

It took a statement of disbelieved opinion from an influencing figure and a crisis in my life to trigger alive my writing...

I just had a thought… you know the recent or in fact, is a known thing about Singapore’s sport arena stands - As long sportsman holds pink IC, regardless where they from they represent Singapore.

So, in that same context, should we have a team of soccer player from Germany, Brazil and Argentina holding pink IC, and that team don’t have our locals at all, similar make up with our table tennis group and we made it to the World Cup finals… Mind you, Singapore Flag among the finals matches..

Questions, I wonder what is the sentiment of our ppl would be… 100% proud that Singapore made it in World Cup finals or…??

I am entitled to my opinion of course… I guess some things no matter how dogmatic, logical and to be politically correct or even garment tries to (re)-educate her citizens… Right from day 1 many many years ago when it all happened till now, it has never sit right with...

The fear of chinese 7th month loses it grip to any individual, when you realised The Son of The Living God who love you so much, that He gave up His Life for you on the cross. Rose from the dead on the 3rd day, has given you a perfect standing before The Holy God of Heaven and Earth…

Oh.. The same Holiness now reign in you by His the HOLY Spirit.

Now that you are engulfed and embraced in the HOLY Trinity… Doesn’t the entities of the supposed 7th month become insignificant? The entities now do not see you as you, but they see His Holiness reigning in you.

Do you supposed they could now harm you? These entities cannot even come near you but to retreat to someone whom they could continue to impute fears.

Being embrace in the Holy Trinity, could you now imagine what’s the journey ahead of your would be? One thing for sure, your path is now lite and you have the access to A...

It got me thinking/pondering.. i’ve been reading up that Singapore have been in no. 1 for many things, and top in many events internationally… However, does that really reflect the quality of the lives in our general populations. This phrase kept repeating at the back of my mind- at what cost?

I remembered there were a period of time when i was growing up… primary & secondary students who score A1 in their exams spiral into depression and some even committed suicides when they got their final results for PSLE or O levels.. because they got what, A2 or below.. something to that extends..

Now as i am slowly getting politically aware of my/our surroundings… i realized the sentiments of ppl who are unsatisfied with the current governance- it is about the Quality of our livelihoods.

Singapore can be best at this, top at that… but at what expense, at what cost.

One hand, yes, i am proud of...

My personal take on the NLB ongoing, and going, and non stop going saga…

1. I agreed to their CEO last few words- they should have had better handled the responsed in the first place… something to that effect.

1b. If they already have their internal guideline for the next course of action, do they need to announced to the world? They could have just treat it as a daily job routine, period.

1. To me, library is a storehouse of knowledge and information. I remembered the garment repeatedly reminded us years ago, that S'pore is a SECULAR state… with that, they went ahead with the Casino- 2 CASINOS, against all major religious group’s voice of concern…. so, NLB being the NATIONAL library, should take the same stance as the garment, remain SECULAR. Recognising the alternate lifestyle group is growing, like it or not.

some interesting facts of MY life 2.. :

Just now, I was helping my overseas friend to express her Chinese composition (作文)… i realized that same expression maybe shared by many of you too.. so, just want to share the composition with you guys.. (she tell me the idea, i help to write) Mingalaba kumya… ^{^}

有人问我, 为什么我要学汉文? 我被问呆了一下, 担是这个问题难不道我。我本身对各种文话和语言有兴趣而且我爸也是华人,我就所以学华文。我也是家里第一个学习汉语。

无论何事，开始学习都有它的困难, 汉文也不意外。我所面对的困难是语言的发音和记不起拼写文字。汉语内，有四种拼音，不同音不同字。例如：衣、姨、椅、艺… 要是讲的不准，意思就不一样。有一些文字是同字不同音, 例如: 长… 你的头发很长, 你长高了，两个同字可是拼音不一样!

我认得文字,可是有时要写出来，脑袋空空! 我一班上还是要用字典陪伴着。学习语言要长用, 不多用就会全忘了。我们新学者，要不停的多讲，多写。我很幸运的在网上认识了几位华人网友, 他们都是我的汉语幸运之星! 除了在学校所学的,他们都是我课外能多讲和学习的好帮手!

每天上下班, 每晚上下汉语课诚, 有时候真的很累不够时间休息。可是,为了有个美好的前途, 在怎么累也值得。因为这样,我每晚怀抱希望的心情来继续努力学习!

some interesting facts of MY life.. :

1. Learnt Japanese in my teens; forgotten miserably, ‘cos no one to practise with..

2. Learnt Hokkien since pri 4 via my class & school mates; feel so at home when I was in Taiwan than Hong Kong, even though my surname is Chan! >

3. Impromptu in agreeing to learn thai few years ago (in supporting jiejie’s part time), now seems to catch on every word easily.. not structurally but recognising commonly spoken words..

4. For years, I’m only familiar with spoken mandarin, today I could message in Chinese.. not with locals, but to my Chinese learning friends in Thailand! hahahahah!!!!

5. Learnt to cook seriously years ago; my first dish- Chinese Chicken Soup from an Ang Mo Chef named Michael Smith..

This is my take on the Malaysian airline jet…

They have not found evidence of the plane crashed but it was based on data calculation that were supposed to be reliable…

The words they used were… “..the UK company that provided the satellite data which indicated the northern and southern corridors, has been performing further calculations on the data..”

“…that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none of those on…”

i am of the camp of thought that unless the wreckage are found… such claims are still debatable… because:

1. Upon the announcement, there are still numbers of experts keeping an open mind because it is base on data calculation.. (It was reported in the news as well)

2. The same conviction they had based on their air force radar reading and again calculations that they were so sure that the plane was hijacked and started...

I checked out the origin/history of Godzilla, in short:

1. With the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Lucky Dragon 5 incident still fresh in the Japanese consciousness, Godzilla was conceived as a metaphor for nuclear weapons.

2. the name Godzilla, is a cross of 2 Japanese words: gorira (ゴリラ- gorilla), and kujira (クジラ- whale)…

3. The original creation of the creature is combined attributes of a Tyrannosaurus, an Iguanodon, a Stegosaurus and an alligator to form a sort of blended chimera. To emphasise the monster’s relationship with the atomic bomb, its skin texture was inspired by the keloid scars seen on Hiroshima’s survivors.
